Wellington College returned to the Chelsea Flower Show for a second time, with the beautiful ‘Breaking Ground’ garden, designed by Wilson McWilliam Studio, picking up a gold medal in the Show Gardens category.

​The year 2017-18 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of Shropshire prep school, Packwood Haugh, and preparations are well under way for a busy programme of events running throughout the year to celebrate this milestone.

From dusk ‘til dawn across two weekends in May, senior and intermediate pupils at Northbourne Park School took part in the annual overnight camps. This event is a real highlight every year for the children as it allows them to put all the skills they have learnt from leadership lessons to the test. The challenge is to build a shelter from natural resources and spend the night in it.

​Year 7 pupil Eliana Brealey has recently toured with the Welsh National Opera in their production of Puccini’s La Boheme. Eliana is a highly talented singer and was delighted to seize the opportunity to perform in one of opera’s most popular and unforgettable stories of the love affair between young poet Rodolfo and seamstress Mimi.

Senior pupils of Northbourne Park School completed their annual 14.7 mile walk to Canterbury Cathedral on Saturday, May 13.
